Partnerships

Rural Current Affairs considers collaborations that help readers explore rural places and community life without blurring the line between editorial work and promotion. Tell us what you propose, who it is for and how it would be presented.

Possible collaborations

We may consider clearly scoped editorial projects, useful reader resources, event or publication partnerships, and relevant placements on pages across the site. A proposal should fit the publication's subject and offer a clear reason for a reader to engage. We do not promise acceptance or publication.

How placements are labelled

Paid, partner-funded or promotional material is identified in plain language wherever it appears. Labels remain visible alongside the material, including when a placement is shown in more than one part of the site. Partner content is kept distinct from independent editorial work, and payment does not purchase editorial conclusions.

Start a conversation

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Describe the proposed format, subject, intended audience and any funding or other interests involved. We review proposals for relevance, clarity and fit with our editorial standards before discussing next steps.

Our point of view

Rural places are never standing still.

We take time with the details behind change: who uses a place, what it makes possible and what may be lost or renewed.
